Teen Recycled Jewelry Workshop
This program was given at the Victor Farmington Library and the Fairport Public Library during summer 2017. I created the program to complement the "Build a Better World" summer reading theme. Donations of old and unwanted jewelry were received from staff and library patrons. Teens used the donated jewelry to create new, original works of art such as bookmarks, keychains and jewelry items.
Teen Books & Brownies
Partnering with the youth services librarian at Victor Farmington Library, we offered this program every two weeks during summer reading. We talked about new YA books in the library, and teens discussed books they read. A book related craft or activity was often included. Attendees were also invited to look at upcoming book releases and give input on the library's collection.
